We currently have a lot of questions about corona tests. One of the most popular questions concerns the reimbursement of corona test.
At present, public health care tests are easy to access and test results are completed quickly. Fund members also have an opportunity to take a test at private medical center and receive additional compensation if examination is also reimbursable by Kela.
A doctor´s referral is required to receive reimbursement. The test should also follow the instructions of the Finnish Institute of Health and Welfare.
For example tests taken from asymptomatic people returning from a trip (or otherwise due to shortened quarantine time) are not currently reimbursed according to the instruction.
